    Strong Relations with Your Donors

    Module Overview

    This module teaches you how to stimulate existing donors to increase their contribution or to donate more frequently. The set of tools and techniques used to achieve this is called donor relations management.

    Why Strong Relations with Your Donors?

    When you can convince existing donors to donate more, or to donate more frequently, you can increase the income of your organisation and make that income more secure.

    What You Can Expect

    This module will help you develop a donor relations plan and calendar that are suitable for your organisation.

    Knowledge and Skills

    At the end of this module you will know:

    • The different steps in the donor relations cycle
    • The importance of donor relations management
    • The main reasons why donors give or stop giving
    • Important aspects of reporting to donors
    • Different ways on how to stay in touch with your donors
    • What a donor database is and how it should be used


    And you will have the skills to:

    • Divide your donors into different groups
    • Make the right mixture of donor communication channels and tools
    • Develop a donor database and use it well

    Certification:

    • After completing the course and passing a brief exam, you can download an accredited certificate.
